Used shipping containers in Cuxhaven were at the centre of a special project for Cuxport GmbH. We supplied almost 200 used 40 ft High Cube containers , which were assembled on site to form two solid protective walls along the coastal area.

The structures protect the vehicle areas behind them, adjacent work areas and the surrounding infrastructure from external influences. For a port site, this is a practical and durable solution that is designed for daily use and fits reliably into the existing space.

So that the entire structure works as a single unit, the containers were connected horizontally with Bridge Fittings and vertically with twistlocks . This turned individual containers into a stable protection system that meets the requirements of the site in Cuxhaven. In projects of this scale, it is not only the right containers that matter, but also careful planning and a secure technical connection.
